Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where our Tiered Point System ranks and records our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. Please check the About Page for a more in-depth look at how points are awarded. Our Tier System is below for quick reference. Spoiler Warning!
It has been a while since we explored the world of the Reds and Blues. Today, we are focusing on the Chorus Trilogy. An entire planet has been thrown into a civil war, and only the Blood Gulch Buffoons can make a difference. Two lethal mercenaries are trying to manipulate events and stop them. Will they earn enough Feats N' Faults score to be recruited by Darth Vader in a future FNF Special? We will need to dive in and find out!
If you want to play along at home and rank these characters from least to greatest, feel free to share your lists in the comments. Who did you think would score the lowest or highest, and who surprised you the most?
To give you an idea of the characters we are covering this week, we have Locus, Felix, Bitters, Andersmith, Palomo, Lopez Dos.0, Dr. Grey, Kimble, General Doyle, Freckles, and Jensen.
Let’s Get Started!
Red Vs Blue: Chorus Trilogy
11th Place, Andersmith: 2 FN’F Score
Andersmith should, in theory, have the highest score among the new recruits. He appears to be the most knowledgeable, organized, and capable. However, his inability to effect any real change has placed him at the bottom of our ranks. In a quirky comedy like RVB, it's essential to stand out and take risks. While this approach can be risky, many characters in RVB have discovered that it's through chaos that true achievements are made. Unfortunately, Andersmith played it too safe. Womp womp.
10th Place, Bitters: 3 FN’F Score
Shockingly, the laziest of the bunch has survived being in last place. Bitters is obviously Grif's counterpart. He always does whatever he can to get out of work; he reminds me of many of my high school students. If he puts in as much work as he does to get out of work, then he would be in charge of this squad by now. However, he killed a man while he was cloaked, which is no small feat, and he could hold his own in battle. Did he drive over Palomo? Yeah, but I bet he's a much better driver now. Just kidding, I wouldn't let this guy anywhere near a vehicle after that mishap.
9th Place, Lopez Dos.0: 4 FN’F Score
Lopez Dos.0 is basically Lopez's evil clone. He’s just as innovative and tech-savvy, but there’s one big difference—he's got ambition. Lopez figured out a long time ago that fighting the chaotic Reds and Blues was a lost cause. He’s come to terms with his situation and knows planning is a waste of time since everything is unpredictable; you might just end up as a head at the bottom of the ocean. Dos.0, on the other hand, thinks he can take down the Reds and Blues and break free from the Gulch. But it turns out he’s just as stuck as everyone else.
8th Place, Palomo: 4 FN’F Score
Palomo is the Tucker of the group, crude humor and all. He did his best but could not crawl out from under the fact that he was not on the Reds or Blues. Not being on the main squad means you have less screen time to prove yourself, which was detrimental to most of his squad. Only one other member was able to break out of the mediocrity, which we will see later in the tier list. I think Tucker learned the most from Palomo. It allowed him to see how far he had grown and the type of character he wanted to be. Unfortunately, that is not enough to earn you a Feat.
7th Place, Kimble: 5 FN’F Score
Kimble was the leader of half the planet. She did her best to protect them and do what was right. She was a strong tactician and did her best with the resources at her disposal. Stuck in a stalemate, she did not have many options other than to turn to the Reds and Blues. I would want Kimble in charge if I were ever in a conflict like this.
6th Place, Dr. Grey: 6 FN’F Score
Dr. Grey is a terrifying doctor. I would never want to go near her if I had a medical problem. You could walk in with a runny nose and come out with an amputated leg! No, thank you. However, she knows how to channel that intensity, as demonstrated when she successfully interrogated a man. I don't blame him; I would give up everything in an instant if she was eyeing my internal organs.
5th Place, General Doyle: 7 FN’F Score
While Kimble was more stoic, Doyle feared coming out of his shell. He was the more reserved and cautious one of the leaders. Not the bravest in the bunch. That said, he scored better than Kimble, so caution did him some good. He even secured the Sword key, but in classic Doyle fashion, he could not complete the mission. Instead of keeping it out of the enemy's hands, he gave it to them. It was misguided, but at least everything turned out in the end. I am wondering if any of these characters will be able to break into the double digits.
4th Place, Freckles: 11 FN’F Score
Woohooo! Someone finally did it. It just took them being a giant murderous robot. Freckles was a fantastic addition to this season. How can we amp up Caboose and make him even funnier? Why not give him a pet giant death robot that puts him in charge of the Gulch? Perfection. While she is a giant robot, she also scored a feat when she was installed to an assault rifle. No matter what she is in, she is a danger to anyone in her crosshairs, and her loyalty to Caboose knows no bounds. I'm just glad that someone finally scored above 10. These scores were starting to get embarrassing.
3rd Place, Jensen: 18 FN’F Score
In third place, we have the best-performing character from the new addition, Jensen. I told you that these characters need to do something big when they have little screen time. Jensen did precisely that and saved his entire planet! That is a 16-point feat to add to his total. It is a good thing, too, because, besides that, he only scored one other feat. Since he had no faults, he could maintain his points and rise in the ranks. I'm glad it was Jensen in the end. I found him the most relatable of the group. I was worried he would end up on the bottom, but he turned it around during the finale.
Tied for 1st Place, Locus and Felix: 43 FN’F Score
I find it fascinating when these things happen in Feats N' Faults. I follow stringent guidelines when awarding points because if there is no consistency, then what is the point of even doing all this? Yet, it is inevitable when coincidences like this make me look like I am fudging the numbers to create a more engaging tier list. Nuhuh, not me. I swear this just happened! Felix and Locus scored the exact same number of FNF score. Also, a score of 43 is impressive, especially for a web series. This score puts both of them on par with Spider-Man, and they even scored higher than Tucker himself! These two have a very credible chance of ending up on Vader's shortlist when he searches the multiverse to hire his team of bounty hunters and mercenaries.
These two created a planetary civil war and kept the two factions at a stalemate for years. That takes precise planning and constant communication. Even though they do not particularly enjoy each other, they know they are stronger together. That is admirable, but it was not enough to defeat the Reds and Blues. Their unconventional approach is always a thorn in the side of people who are trained and used to fighting competent warriors. Ultimately, these two might have scored enough to earn a spot on future tier lists, but we will have to stay tuned to find out.
FNF Review, Chorus Trilogy: 7.5/10
These three seasons are some of the best Red vs Blue has to offer. They were able to raise the stakes in a way that did not compromise the series' humor. This is where we are starting to see some significant character growth, especially in Tucker. Tucker is finally realizing what it means to become a leader when Church is not in the picture. Church played such a pivotal role in not only the team dynamic but in the show as a whole. It is interesting to see what happens when he is missing. While some shows would falter when they lose their main character, Red vs Blue uses this opportunity to expand and tackle new stories. It is refreshing, funny, and engaging. There are some proper twists in this series that really jump out and grab you. It is just a really great show.
Recommendation: It’s worth the entire series to get to these seasons.
