Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where we use our Tiered Point System to rank and record our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. For a more in depth look on how points are awarded, please check the About page. Below is our Tier System for quick reference.
We made it to our final post of the 2024 recap month! We looked at the best, the worst, and the strongest teams. But who is the vilest? It is time to take our villains and piece together our very own Faction of Faults! Just like we did with the heroes a couple of weeks ago. We have 13 roles that must be drafted to create the highest score possible, almost like a puzzle. You rearrange villains who can fit those roles until you make the team with the highest point total. Some villains can fit more than one role, which makes it tricky to try and arrange them into the best possible team.
Let’s Get Started!
Role: Master Mind
Every team needs a leader, especially for our Faction of Faults. We are going to be drafting the worst of the worst. Most of these characters would instead work alone or kill the rest of the team. We need a leader who is an expert negotiator and conqueror. Someone with experience leading. Our Leader for the 2024s Faction of Faults is Thanos from the MCU.
Thanos has a giant army at his command. Battleships and generals are ready to go. A proven leader and master strategist. He brought the MCU’s universe into perfect balance and beat the Avengers. Plus, he has a FN’F Score over 200! Thanos is the perfect leader.
Role: Military Might
Next, we need someone who will bring us an army. There will be many battles to come, and minions are necessary pawns in conquering the multiverse. A little-known character, The Great Intelligence, fills this role. They have been around since the 60s in Doctor Who, yet they still fly under the radar. They succeeded in destroying the Doctor’s timeline and fulfilled their goals just like Thanos. They are a hive mind capable of inhabiting robot Yetis, Snow Men, and weird faceless creatures. They will bring the hordes so the rest of the team doesn’t have to get bogged down in the minutia of universal combat.
Role: Thiefs
Did I pick two characters for this one role? Yeah, I did. Sue me! How could I split these guys up? Their collective score made them a little more formidable, and it was better than just having one fill this role. We had a lot of villains, but not many of whom you would consider stealthy or thieving. Until next year, when we have more characters under our belt, the Sticky Bandits are our thieves. A kid may have thwarted them, but I don’t think anyone would consider Kevin a typical 10-year-old. I just like picturing these two interacting with Thanos. What a team, haha. They’ll bring the comedy to the fray. That’s for sure.
Role: Mad Scientist
Up next is the Mad Scientist. They will bring their tech expertise and arm our characters with all the necessary weapons. Loki brought us many multiversal characters, but now we have someone who has already won a multiversal war on our team. He Who Remains crafted the pinnacle of technology in the MCU. He created a device that confines and prunes universes. Our team can handle anything thrown at them with that kind of tech.
Role: Nature Expert
I had to go out on a limb for this one. After reviewing all the villains we have covered, I realized we do not really have a nature expert. No botanists or evil plant deities have been covered yet, so we had to settle for The Rani. She is an impressive character. She is a Doctor Who villain from the classic era. Her expertise comes from farming humans for a chemical we secrete when we are scared. She also created a new species and has some knowledge of mushrooms and plants. It was the closest thing we could get to nature, so for now, The Rani will be drafted for this role. Can you think of any characters specializing in nature that might replace her in next year’s Faction of Faults?
Role: The Silver Tongue
D’Spaeyre is a little-known character in the MCU. He is from the Hulu original Cloak and Daggar. The Hulu show shares a character from the Netflix show and is referenced in Cloak and Dagger. When the MCU added the Defenders, they also added Cloak and Daggar. D’Spaeyre is the main antagonist of that show. He feeds off people’s hopes and drains them of their will to live. It makes him stronger, and he has found a knack for using his charm to lure victims in. He will be the diplomat that the team deserves. Able to craft lies on the spot and convince people to do whatever the team needs. His score is not impressive, but other characters who could fill this position are already filling other roles. He still should not be underestimated. One conversation might lead you into a spiraling depression. Beware of D’Spaeyre.
Role: Supernatural Expert
The Supernatural world is full of werewolves, monsters, and warlocks. However, we will turn to the witches of the multiverse for our needs. Winifred Sanderson is a master witch. She is the leader of her coven and keeper of the book. She knows powerful spells and incantations, and her knowledge will be perfect for our needs. Let’s hope that no kids stand in her way. They seem always to give her the upper hand.
Role: Henchman
Every villain needs a henchman. They're the number two guy to do all the dirty work. The best henchman we have so far is Mayhem from the All-State commercials. Is he a henchman? That could be debated, but I say he is an All-States henchman. He is always causing damage for the company, so that feels like henchman material to me. He is nigh on indestructible, immortal, and loves his job. Not only would he fit this role perfectly, but he would revel in it.
Role: Wild Card
Every team needs a surprise factor—someone who is going to do the unexpected and turn the mission on its head. The Celestial Toymaker is a chaotic deity. His powers seem limitless, and the game of taking over the multiverse is right up his wheelhouse, Turning an army's weapons into toys or spinning solar systems like tops. Throw this guy into any battle; it would be hard for the good guys to find a way out.
Role: Sorcerer
There is a fine line between the sorcerer and the supernatural. The sorcerer knows how to wield magic, while the supernatural expert has the knowledge to deal with supernatural threats like witches, werewolves, or demons. So, regarding our magic wielder, Loki is a prime candidate. This is not the Loki that went on to join the TVA. This is the Prime variant that fought against Thanos and was ultimately killed. This Loki may have started to turn good before then, but we will never know. Loki Prime is full of magic and illusions, making him a great candidate for this team.
Role: Monster
What is a villain team without a scary monster? Sutekh is the god of death in Doctor Who. He brought destruction to everything and evolved to his peak by living on the Tardis for thousands of years. One touch from his paw or whiff of his breath will cause you to evaporate, just like if Thanos snapped his fingers. He was the only powerful enough to destroy himself, and the Doctor used that power. With this team, they will finally be able to stop the Doctor and bring their reign of terror to the multiverse.
Role: Pilot
What better mode of transport than their very own Tardis? Not a broken one either. A pure working Tardis with all the bells and whistles. It can shapeshifter and blend in with its surroundings and will have an extremely capable Time Lord piloting it. The Master is the obvious choice, just like The Doctor for the heroes. He brings a scheming tenacity to the team and thousands of years of experience. Don’t get in his way. He might send a plastic army after you, hypnotize you, or simply kill you with a giant laser.
Role: Doctor
Lastly, we need an expert on physical form. If someone is hurt or dying, we need a doctor who will not only heal them but also make them stronger. Davros is the expert this team deserves. He has been tinkering with his race’s biology for centuries, turning them into the universe’s deadliest creature. This team was already a master class of evil, but having the creator of the Daleks at their back makes them unstoppable.
With that, we have finished drafting our 2024 Faction of Faults. They were not able to beat the Feats Force this year. But stats are not everything. If our two teams were to go against each other, who would you think would win? Which team do you believe will score higher next year?
Combined FN’F Score: 1791
