Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults where we use our Tiered Point System to rank and record our favorite characters. If you want a rundown on how points are awarded, please check out the About page. Below is our Tier System for reference.
Welcome to the world of Star Wars. This is another ever-expanding IP so I wanted to start with something small and contained. Before we get into the larger world let’s take a look at this two-season show that takes place before episode 7. In this, we follow a small racing crew aboard the Colossus. This show is filled with espionage, racing, and betrayal. However, since it is a smaller story, we will be grouping our heroes and villains for this list. Bigger characters like Poe will be saved for when we do the Sequel Trilogy. So only original characters from “Resistance” will be seen in today’s feed. If you’re familiar with this show play along at home, and rank how you think these characters will do. We will be taking a look at Kaz Xiono, Jarek Yeager, B1, Neeku Vozo, Vonreg, and Pyre. Let’s get to it!
Resistance: Heroes and Villains
To start us off in dead last we have Elrik Vonreg. Vonreg had a pretty piss poor outing in this series. Going into this show I had no idea how the story was going to go. When I saw this bright red pilot, I assumed he was going to be the main antagonist. I pictured him being our main character’s rival and them getting into all sorts of problems. I was dead wrong. This guy barely even shows up! His points reflect that too. Only scoring 3 points, and not even having enough Feats to fill out his promo card speaks a lot. Just a super boring character with no achievements to back anything up. He deserved to be at the bottom of the list.
In 5th place we B1. Why is B1 here? Well, if I am going to track Vonreg for a couple of episodes then I think I can track B1 too! I know he was only in one maybe two episodes. I know he was just a droid. But guess what? I do not care. I love this guy. I have always liked the way the old battle droids looked. So when I saw this guy show up, I was excited. Also, this guy is not even in last! Saving the entire colony of the Colossus gave this little droid enough points to beat one of the main antagonists of the show. He might not have scored very high but B1 has a special place in my heart. I see you judging me over there! Stop it!
Now we are starting to get to the real points of the show. In 4th place we have Commander Pyre. He showed up a bit late into the show’s life cycle, but he made his presence known once he was there. In the end, I never found anything to really fault the guy with. His ongoing quest to snuff out the resistance never came to fruition. He sure did try to stop it though. 20 FN’F Score, not too shabby for this shiny trooper.
In 3rd by nine points, we have Jarek Yeager. The adult of the group, Jarek was always just trying to run a repair shop. He had ties to the rebellion of old and some family drama but that is all that’s there. He put his mechanic skills to work through the series and earned a cool 29 points. Not too impressive for the overarching FN’F world, but for this series he did pretty well.
In 2nd place we have Neeku. This guy started out pretty endearing. I was never a huge fan of this show, but this guy made it bearable in the early episodes. He takes things very literally and does not understand our slang, but he does understand how to earn points. At one point through the show, he was in the lead for FN’F score. Saving his city on three different occasions is a huge feat. Never underestimate a good mechanic.
Lastly in 1st place we have Kaz Xiono. I am really surprised that Kaz was able to make it this high on the leaderboard. A 58 score is impressive. Especially when you consider how many faults, he had in the first season. He started off very annoying and grating. His character did start to develop and become much more likable as the series progressed. A solid pilot and now a decent mechanic, this guy went on to be an important fixture in the Resistance. I wonder if we will ever see this character again in live-action. I know his voice actor would be a good fit to reprise the role. I started off not liking this guy, but I would like to see him show up in live-action sometime. Even if it was just for a cameo.
Review: 5/10
Just skip it, you won’t miss anything.
Eh, it’s alright. The animation style was never my cup of tea. The stories are a little boring and clunky. Twists that you could see a mile away. It never felt like it got its momentum. It is not bad. It is not good. It is middle of the road. Unless you want to watch everything Star Wars, I would say skip this one. Even with that though, nothing happens in it to further any plot or dive deeper into any era. It is just a little side story in the world of Star Wars with brief cameos from some more recognizable characters. Stay tuned while we explore some of those more recognizable characters in the next feed. So do not forget to subscribe and tell anyone and everyone who is as crazy as us!
Until Next Time!
