Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults where we use our Tiered Point System to rank and record our favorite characters. If you want a rundown on how points are awarded, please check out the About page. Below is our Tier System for reference.
Today we will be looking at a classic. The original heroes from Star Wars have finally made it to Feats N’ Faults. How do you think they will stack up to the other IPs? Who do you think will perform the best? We have Obi-Wan, Leia, R2D2, C3P0, Admiral Ackbar, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Lando. You know what to do! List how you think they did from least to greatest and let me know in the comments how you did.
Let’s Get Started!
Star Wars: The Original Trilogy
In Last Place we have Admiral Ackbar. I am so bummed with his placement. I was hoping he’d do a little better. He even had a couple of Clone Wars episodes to boost his score, but it just was not enough to get him out of last place. It’s A Trap! Hehe, I just had to say it.
Wow, in 8th Place we have Princess Leia. She only got an 18 FN’F Score! This list is full of surprises. She just was never able to attain any big Feats. Plus, you do not see her too often in other media. Which is a shame. She is not in many TV shows which is the reason some of these characters have as high of a score as they do. A poor showing for this iconic character.
In 7th Place we have C-3P0. Can you believe that this condescending bucket of bolts scores higher than our warrior princess? It is not an amazing score, but we are getting closer to respectable numbers. Even with barely moveable arms, C-3PO did a lot for his Universe. I mean he saved an entire planet! You have to give it to the guy. His Fault Score was what kept him from making it to our 6th place spot.
In 6th Place we have the smoothest scoundrel in the galaxy, Lando Calrissian. This man made one mistake in all the movies and shows he’s been in. Ever since then, he has been desperately trying to make up for it. Almost from the moment it happened. He blew up the second Death Star, saved a ton of characters, and is a wizard at Sabacc. You do not want to be on Lando’s bad side, that’s for sure. He’ll either blow yah up or steal everything you own.
In 5th Place we have our first big jump in points. Chewbacca scored an impressive 59 FN’F Score! Just like Lando he only scored a -2 Fault Score which allowed him to keep his lead. This Wookie gets around. He shows up in all three trilogies, the Han Solo film, and in episodes of Clone Wars. He is always helping out and being the best walking carpet in the galaxy. When will he get his own movie or TV show? Can’t you picture it? A Wookie on a rampage, ripping arms off and trying to save his species from slavery. I’m waiting Disney!
Whhaaaa?! In… 4th… Place we have, Luke Skywalker!? I have bad news for all of you who thought he’d be in 1st. I think this placement just ruined a lot of guys’ tier lists. But here he is. Luke Got a great score but he just could not compete with our top 3 characters. I think some of this is because there is so much reverence for Luke. He does not show up much in other media. No cartoon appearances really stifled his score. Still a pretty nice score. The Force was definitely with him.
In 3rd Place we have Han Solo. Just a man trying to get by scored a 68 FN’F Score. Just beating Luke out to be in our top 3. His Solo movie helped to push him over the edge. He was able to smuggle in those extra FN’F points. I was shocked that this scruffy little nerf herder was able to push past the Jedi of his trilogy. I mean come on! I guess he did beat Boba Fett while blind. How cool is that!? I wonder if this will set a precedent for future Star Wars Tier Lists. We’ll have to wait and find out.
In 2nd Place we have good ol’ R2D2! It doesn’t hurt that he is an ageless droid which allows him to show up in pretty much every Star Wars media ever made. During his time, he has never scored any insane Feats, but he is just consistently scoring. The plucky little droid kept pushing along and helping out when he could. He saved a city a couple of times but in the end, all of his points were only 1-2 Feat Score. Just goes to show how much he gets around in this universe.
In 1st Place, by almost double R2’s score, is Obi-Wan Kenobi. This man got his own show, was in four movies, and was a main character in the Clone Wars. He did not waste those opportunities. Kenobi went around saving planets as a hobby, fought and won wars, and trained the next generations. Both of his students went on to be major shapers of his universe. No matter what era Kenobi is in he is a force to be reckoned with. And with a score like that I am sure we will see him on the top of our Tier Lists for many years to come. The Winner is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Review: 8/10
These movies were a huge part of my childhood. The movies, toys, and games were always on my mind. This universe just has a way of pulling you in. Even when the movies are not the best or the storylines are not thought out you still enjoy the world. The practical effects do a lot of the heavy lifting. I am so happy to see them continue that tradition with the newer movies. It just does not feel like Star Wars when everything is clean and CG.
This trilogy feels real and magical at the same time. I think that is one of the strengths of the original. It feels dirty and lived in. Grounded yet feels like a fairy tale. This is where it all started. Every one of these movies is good. Not a single one is a bad movie. The other trilogies struggle to say that. But this trilogy also has Empire which is my favorite Star Wars movie. So much love for this franchise and such a solid trilogy. 8/10 for the series that got me into Sci-Fi.
What would you rate this trilogy? Did you guess any of the characters right? Let me know in the comments below. Also please do not forget to subscribe and tell a friend. All the support means a lot to me and helps this feed get released consistently.
