Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where our Tiered Point System ranks and records our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. Please check the About Page for a more in-depth look at how points are awarded. Our Tier System is below for quick reference. Spoiler Warning!
We are finishing up our journey through the MCU villains and have come to the six that just barely missed our top 10. What MCU characters do you think just missed out? Let me know in the comments what characters you were expecting to be her.
Let’s Get Started
16th Place, Ultron: 33 FN’F Score (2015) 1 Movie
Ultron may have been in the least popular Avengers, but he proved himself in Feats N’ Faults. He stole an Infinity Stone and killed almost two hundred people. With only one movie under his belt, a score of 33 is remarkable. He also has one of the most badass reveals where he demolishes his own body to just step through in some shiny new skin. The dude also beat the Avengers! How many villains can say they single-handedly beat Earth’s mightiest heroes?
In the What If cartoons, a variant of Ultron found all the Infinity Stones and destroyed multiple universes. I have not watched that series yet, but it might be fun to examine it for Feats N’ Faults.
15th Place, Zemo: 34 FN’F Score (2016-2021) 1 Movie, 5 ep.
Zemo is the reason the Avengers were pulled apart for Civil War. Zemo is an expert marksman and can hold his own in hand-to-hand combat, but his real talent is manipulation. he uses his intelligence to bring down the Avengers and work angles, so he never has to fight his battles. He’ll sit in a room and watch two people tear each other apart just because he whispered in one’s ear. That is a true superpower. He used that big brain of his to avoid a single fault. He achieved a great deal for a regular human in the MCU universe.
14th Place, Steel Serpent: 36 FN’F Score (2017-2018) 15 ep.
Here is a big surprise! Steel Serpent is the villain from Iron Fist season 2. Before watching through the MCU, I had never guessed he’d be in the top 15! He humiliated Iron Fist and took the role from him. He took down the leader of the Hand and beat Colleen Wing before she eventually became the Iron Fist.
13th Place, Hela: 40 FN’F Score (2017) 1 Movie
Hela was on a rampage before the MCU even started. The only daughter of Odin destroyed civilizations and brought Asgard into power. She became so powerful and ruthless that Odin banished her. She beat Thor and Loki and might not have been worthy to wield Mjolnir, but she was strong enough to destroy it. She found herself on Asgard’s throne before she was ultimately defeated by Surtur. What a legend and what a villain!
12th Place, Jigsaw: 44 FN’F Score (2017-2019) 25 ep.
Another Netflix alumni has made his way near the summit. Jigsaw is a villain from the Punisher series. He went on a rampage, recruiting and killing as many men as he could. He was the anti-Punisher. Instead of killing for good, he killed to build a crime empire. If you needed a job done, you’d hire his guys. His body was completely destroyed. He was nothing but a vegetable being kept alive by machines. He was told he’d never move again. That did not fly. He persevered through all the pain and rehabilitation and became better than ever. He could have won, too. He had the opportunity to kill Punisher but didn’t for no good reason. He would've been higher on our list if he had just shown up that day.
11th Place, Loki (Prime): 44 FN’F Score (2011-2018) 5 Movies
The last honorable mention and missing the cut by 2 points is the original Loki. We covered his variant from the TVA already, but this is the Loki from the sacred timeline. The original foil to the Avengers and the king of Asgard. That’s an impressive resume. Sure, he has a lot of family issues, but in the end, he sacrifices himself to try to save his people. Loki is complicated and hard to read, but that’s his charm. Everyone loves a greasy little weasel, and it doesn’t hurt to have Tom Hiddleston play you.
