Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults where we use our Tiered Point System to rank and record our favorite characters. If you want a rundown on how points are awarded, please check out the About page. Below is our Tier System for reference.
In today’s feed, we look at the Hulk and the characters associated with him. With this feed we will have covered every original member of the Avengers. Pretty exciting huh! Hulk, She-Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross, and Abomination will be the focus of today’s feed. If you are playing at home, go ahead and rank these characters from least to greatest and let me know in the comments if you got any right. Don’t overthink this one. You’ll be able to guess how this tier list works out. I have faith in you!
Let’s Get Started!
FN’F, MCU: Hulks
In last place we have Thunderbolt Ross with 2 FN’F Score. He might have a low score, but he has been with us since the second MCU movie. Unfortunately, William Hurt, who played Ross, passed away. He was a fantastic actor, and it is a hard loss to take. That being said, the MCU keeps moving, and Ross is a big player in the comics. So, Marvel has recently recast him with Harrison Ford. We will see his version of the character in the next Captain America movie, in which he will finally turn into the Red Hulk. I know this score is going to skyrocket after that movie, so we will keep a close eye on it and update everyone on his FN’F Score.
In 3rd Place, we have Abomination with an 11 FN’F Score. Listen, I know this one is a bit controversial, but you have to accept the fact that he is reformed now. I would not count him as a villain anymore. The system actually worked in the MCU! While I know some of you are probably not a fan of how this character has evolved, I personally love it. It is something new and interesting, and I am all for that. If Banner can control his transformation, then it is easy to see Abomination being able to as well. While he did earn a couple of points as a villain, the majority come from his time reforming and then continuing to reform others. Way to go big guy, I’m happy for yah.
Woooah boy, in 2nd Place, we have She-Hulk with 20 FN’F Score. Ok, listen. If you expect me to dig into this show and annihilate it, you are in the wrong place. I know this is controversial, but I loved the She-Hulk Show. I thought it was new and fresh. It was funny and had some fun action scenes. Tatiana Maslany was amazing in the role. She nailed it! I am a huge She-Hulk fan in the comics, and this is exactly how I picture her. Perfect casting. I will admit the ending did fall a bit flat, but I loved the journey up to it. I know it wasn’t the show that people wanted. I get that the CGI was a bit rushed in some places. But that stuff just does not bother me. It was a fun show guys! I even enjoyed it on the re-watch. I really don’t understand what all the fuss was about. Just go give it another shot with an unbiased mind. Think of it more like a sitcom than a Marvel action show. You will enjoy it more. Trust me.
In 1st Place, to no one’s surprise, is Hulk with a whopping 124 FN’F Score. As a founding member of the Avengers, he has been around for a while. He has even outlasted three of the original members. This has allowed him to really up his score even though he has only had one movie to himself. He even brought back half of the Universe. The Hulk really is the strongest there is. He smashed his way through the competition in this feed. I bet he will make some splashes in our overall Top Tier list too.
Review, The Incredible Hulk: 5.5/10
It was a fine movie. I am not as much of a fan of Norton’s portrayal of the character. I like Ruffalo a good deal more, but the movie was pretty good. I loved it as a kid, and it is only coming back to it that I realize how run-of-the-mill it is. It is a good origin story, but that is exactly what it is. An origin movie. It does not push the mold on much. It has some fun action and visuals, but it never wowed me. A fine, decent film.
Recommendation: You could skip this one. Good in the background. Just go watch Thor Ragnarök!
Review, She-Hulk: 7.5/10
OOooooo, let’s make some people angry! Yes, I like She-Hulk. I think it is really funny with quality acting. I do not get the drama around this series. I get that Marvel was cool to hate on at the time this came out, but it is not that bad of a show. The ending is a bit of a wet fart, but the rest is class! Tatiana Maslany is amazing. I love the supporting cast, and Daredevil shows up! Who cares if he did a walk of shame? He did not break his character. It was fun and funny. I bet if She-Hulk showed up on Daredevil and they banged, there would not have been some sort of beef. People are banging all the time in those Netflix shows. It happens quite a lot. So, I think it fits perfectly. Get off your high horses and go watch some fun TV. It is nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary. It is just simply a fun sitcom. It does not need the gravitas or the epic nature of other Marvel projects. Not everything has to be a spectacle. It is allowed to be on its own and different! It can still be enjoyed.
Recommendation: No…. Just Kidding! Of course I recommend it! Go watch it!
