GOT Tyrells, Boltons, and etc.
Misfits, Lords, and Bastards
Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where our Tiered Point System ranks and records our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. Please check the About Page for a more in-depth look at how points are awarded. Our Tier System is below for quick reference. Spoiler Warning!
We finally made it. After this feed, we will have completed every character analyzed in Game of Thrones. While House of the Dragon and a new show in development are still out there, we will save those for another day. Today, we finish the original show and wrap up all those characters that don’t quite fit with the larger families or have too few members to make up their own post. That being said, this will be the most characters I have ever covered in a single feed. We will be covering 14 characters today: Robin Arryn, Hot Pie, Ramsey Bolton, Melisandre, Walder Frey, Roose Bolton, Davos, Locke, Lady Mormont, Faceless Man, Loras Tyrell, Lysa Arryn, Olenna Tyrell, and Myranda. Since there are so many characters and some do very little, the descriptions will be kept brief. I may even challenge myself to cover it in a single sentence. Let’s see how I do.
Let’s Get Started!
14th Place, Robin Arryn: 0 FN’F Score (2011-2019) 9 Ep.
This kid literally spent his screen time sucking on his mother’s teat. No wonder Robin Arryn has a big ol’ goose egg as a score. All that extra calcium did very little for this wanna be lord.
13th Place, Hot Pie: 0 FN’F Score (2011-2017) 12 Ep.
Don’t get me wrong, Hot Pie can bake a mean loaf of bread and found where he belonged, but that’s not enough for a feat. Now, if he had started his own Inn, that would be Feat-worthy, but unfortunately, we did not get to see where he ended up. He still did better than Arynn, which is why I decided he won that tiebreaker.
12th Place, Myranda: 1 FN’F Score (2013-2016) 8 Ep.
Myssandre loved Ramsay, shot a girl in a hunt, and then got shoved off a balcony. Nuff Said.
11th Place, Olenna Tyrell: 1 FN’F Score (2013-2017) 18 Ep.
I think Olenna is going to surprise a lot of people. I know it surprised me. Looking back, she is one of the most memorable characters in King’s Landing. She holds a lot of power and influence, yet she barely uses it. She threatens a lot, and it is implied, but the only time she used that cunning brain of hers was when she killed Joffrey. That is one memorable feat, but unfortunately, it is not enough to escape the bottom of our leaderboard.
10th Place, Lysa Arryn: 3 FN’F Score (2011-2014) 5 Ep.
Here’s the teat herself. Talk about a crazy mother. Yet, Lysa Arryn utilizes that craziness to accomplish some crazy tasks. She was even able to capture Tyrion. Not many can say they captured a Lannister. I guess none of those who did are still alive, but hey, she tried. Her ambition and lust got the better of her once she married Little Finger. While it seemed like a calculated power grab, it was actually signing her own death warrant.
9th Place, Loras Tyrell: 3 FN’F Score (2011-2016) 20 Ep.
Here comes the Flower Knight. He was always there but never doing much—a heart throb for the ladies, and a fun time for the guys. Loras always seemed to live a double life. He was never able to live the way he wanted, which caused significant stress in his personal life. He had to get that out somehow, and boy, did he. He is one of two people who can say they beat the Mountain! Sure, it was in a jousting match, but still. Very impressive.
8th Place, Faceless Man: 4 FN’F Score (?-?) ? Ep.
The Faceless Man could have been with us from the very beginning. It is hard to find a consensus on where he began and where he ended. There are so many fan theories that I decided to stick with the mystery and leave his episode count blank.
His skills were unmatched, and he seemed to be able to kill anyone he desired. Well, anyone except Arya, unless that was the plan all along. The faceless god appears to lack a strong motive, and I wonder what their actual goal is.
7th Place, Lady Mormont: 4 FN’F Score (2016-2019) 9 Ep.
What a little badass! Lady Mormont is one of my favorite characters in the series, even if she was barely in it. Being blunt, strength, and courage are the values that the North admires most. Lady Mormont exemplifies those and quickly gains the respect of the entire North, even if her house is small. Some of you might be wondering how she earned 4 points for killing a single giant. Well, for one, it was a frickin undead giant! Plus, second, she sacrificed herself to destroy it, which means she gets the award for the sacrifice bonus for heroes and earned a bonus 3 points. I forgot to add that on her card... oppsie, haha. While I wish she could have scored more than 4, Lady Mormont will always have my respect.
6th Place, Locke: 6 FN’F Score (2013-2014) 8 Ep.
What a prick. Locke tried to rape Brienne, and when he couldn’t, he chopped Jamie’s hand off! Every single thing he did was prickish and dastardly. Unfortunately, that’s how you have to score in this world. You gotta use any tactic that you can to change the world or better yourself. No hesitation is how Locke made it to the top half of this feed.
5th Place, Davos: 8 FN’F Score (2012-2019) 42 Ep.
While I was surprised by the low scores of many in this universe, I think Davos’ score surprises me the most. He was a favorite of mine. I loved the Onion Knight. He felt relatable, competent, and was the voice of reason. Not many people had the skill of negotiation and relations like Davos. Most others were full of threats and innuendo, but Davos argued with logic and reason. Yet even with all that screen time and goodwill, he only scored an 8. It’s tough out there in Westeros.
4th Place, Roose Bolton: 8 FN’F Score (2012-2016) 20 Ep.
In the fourth, we have the false King in the North, Roose Bolton. The Bolton’s came in and took the North while Robb was away. While there, they ruled through fear and intimidation. Hell, their sigil is a skinned man. When it comes to being a father, I say he did too good a job. He taught his son exactly what to be and eventually changed his name so he wasn’t a bastard. Then Ramsay turned on him, killed him, and took the North. Papa should be so proud.
3rd Place, Walder Frey: 11 FN’F Score (2011-2017) 6 Ep.
Ho Ho, I love David Bradly, and he eats this role up. I mean, I would have a blast in this role too. Walder Frey, an old curmudgeon who gets to drink, laugh, and overthrow a regime! Talk about plot twists. That is a scene that I will never get out of my head because I never thought he was going to betray the Starks. Yet he is responsible for the fall of the Stark name, killing Lady Stark and Robb. He did not get away with it for long, though. Arya made sure of that. I wonder how high on our Lord Tier list he will make it?
2nd Place, Melisandre: 15 FN’F Score (2012-2019) 29 Ep.
Melisandre is like one of those people who just get really lucky, and then the moment they fail, they run away so they can continue to have people’s trust. She gambled on her god and on Stannis. She got lucky, and everything was going her way. She was basically in control of an entire kingdom and even made a Lord burn his own daughter alive. She was a cruel woman who did have some mystical powers, but in the end, Stannis got massacred, she ran away, and all of those efforts and lies were for nothing. Yet here she is, in second place, reaping the benefit from her falsehoods just like she did in the game of thrones.
1st Place, Ramsay Bolton: 35 FN’F Score (2013-2016) 20 Ep.
None other than the dick chopper himself, Ramsay Bolton, has topped our last leaderboard. Talk about a sadistic fuck! This dude never stopped. Every time he was on screen, he was doing something. This is the kind of villain that knows how to score a point. Wasting no time at all, he went from Bastard to Lord to King of the North. The man had ambition and cut down everyone around him. Sansa, Rickon, Jon, Wunwun, and Theon all felt his wrath in different and disturbing ways. The dude is a monster and deserved what he got. Dogs gotta eat.
We did it! We were able to finish Game of Thrones before the year ended, which means they all have a chance to be on our yearly top-tier chart. Usually, when I finish a mega franchise like this, I would do a special just to update everyone on the standings, but we are so close to January, I think we will just wait and get a couple more names in the running. Now that we have all this data, we can calculate the fun stuff. What would the best ruling house be, who is the worst, the top and bottom 10, the applications are endless. If you are as excited as I am, do not forget to subscribe and tell a friend! All the support really helps, and I appreciate all of you! I hope you all have a stinging good week and will see you Thursday for more Feats N’ Faults.
Until Next Time!
