Welcome back to Feats N’ Faults, where we use our Tiered Point System to rank and record our favorite characters based on their achievements and deeds. For a more in depth look on how points are awarded, please check the About page. Below is our Tier System for quick reference.
The Bad Batch was a pleasant treat, and I am excited to add them to Feats N’ Faults! We have a couple of high scorers here. Don’t be surprised if they show up on some Top Tier lists in the future. You guys should all know the deal by now. If you are playing at home, go ahead and rank these guys from least to greatest based on the impact they actually had in their universe. Not how strong they are but how much they were able to accomplish/influence their universe. Today we are looking at the members of the Bad Batch, Hunter, Tech, Echo, Omega, Batcher, Crosshair, and Wrecker.
. Let’s Get Started!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch
In Last Place, we have Batcher, the loyal companion of the group. Batcher is the only one on the list with the disadvantage of only having one season to earn points. He still did better than other characters who had the same limitations. He scored zero faults and helped the group on several occasions. He might have only scored 4 FN’F Score, but he’s still our favorite little pup.
In 6th Place, we have a bit of a shocker, Omega, with 47 FN’F Score. When I was tallying the points after the season finale, I noticed she was falling behind her brothers. Don’t get me wrong, a 47 is still a great score, but she was the focus of multiple seasons. While she is just a kid, I thought she had the amount of showtime to really pump up that score and even threaten coming into first place. She did do a lot and even escaped, went back, and saved a group of children from an imperial research base. Her brothers were just able to score more than here. Probably because they also had a season of Clone Wars in which they scored feats, and they were the primary action stars of the show. Being the action set pieces can really help push you ahead if you have enough show time. Omega was still a great character, and they left it open, so I am sure we will see her in the future. This maybe force-sensitive clone is going to make an impact in the wider world of Star Wars. I just know it!
In 5th Place, we have Echo with a 64 FN’F Score. This clone first showed up early in Clone Wars. He was eventually captured and then rescued by Anakin and the Bad Batch in the final season. Unfortunately, his body had gone through some major changes, which resulted in him becoming primarily machine. The Bad Batch was quick to take him in, even though he was not originally a defective clone. From there, he earned even more feats by saving the team, hacking into tech, and destroying a bunch of clankers. Not too bad for a clone that was believed to be dead. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him and Rex show up in a new show down the line. One can only hope.
In 4th Place, we have Tech with an 84 FN’F Score. Tech is the more logical of the group. He can crunch numbers in a second and calculate the best move to make in the center of battle. He is also the pilot, teaching Hera Syndulla how to fly during her first off-world flight. Tech did have more faults than Echo, but the feat that pushed him over the edge was when he sacrificed himself to save the others. No one knows for sure if he is actually dead or not. Until we see any proof that he is alive, we have to accept that he met his fate that day.
In 3rd Place, we have Crosshair, with 88 FN’F Score. We are starting to get really close to triple digits now! Crosshair is a tricky one. He started as a friend, became a foe, and then returned to friend again. He had one hell of a character arc. To the point that most thought his inhibitor chip was the reason for his behavior. Surprise surprise, it wasn’t the inhibitor chip but the conditioning he got during the war. He just wants to be a good soldier, and it is hard to change your ways. Even if it did mean going against his family, he was only doing what he thought was right. He was always the more edgy one of the bunch, so it took longer for the harsh reality of the Empire to sink in. Once it did, he never looked back. Immediately killed his superior and did what he could to save Omega. Crosshair is my favorite of the batch because of the journey he had to take to find his peace and his family. Eventually, he settles down with Hunter, Wrecker, and Omega and lives his life away from the war for which he was born. Good on yah Crosshair. You did good.
We did it! We made it to triple digits! In 2nd Place, we have Wrecker with exactly 100 FN’F Score! He scored more faults than the rest, but that will not keep this behemoth down. Wrecker is the muscle of the group. He was never one to talk things out. He would much rather charge right through any situation. Just like John Wick, he worked his butt off to get this high of a score. Never scoring any feat higher than town level. He clawed his way up this high through sheer tenacity and fighting prowess. If there was a droid in the area, he was going to be the one to blow it up. I was worried that Wrecker wouldn’t make it during the season finale. Thankfully he was able to make it out of the research facility with his family and hunker down on a beautiful island to live out his days. Welcome to the triple-digit club, Wrecker!
In 1st Place, where he is supposed to be, we have the leader of the group, Hunter. He was able to score 105 FN’F Score. Beating out Wrecker by only five points. He was able to keep his lead by only having 3 faults. That is just one fault a season of his own show! That is pretty impressive. He might look like a Rambo clone, but honestly, that is exactly what he is. He is the group's tracking expert and can read the land better than anyone else I have analyzed for this feed. Skilled in hand-to-hand combat, he takes down many clankers with just a knife. I do not know if you have ever tried to cut through metal but i can;t imagine it would be easy. Hunter became the dad of the group when they found Omega and quickly tried to shape his military squad into providers for her. He was eventually successful and escaped with Omega and the rest of the Bad Batch. Ending his career and escaping the only thing he ever knew, war. It is a fitting end for this last batch of clones. I know Rex and Echo are still out there fighting the good fight, but I am really happy to see some of the clones escape the never-ending cycle of war that they were pawns in for so long. Hunter deserves to be at the top of this list. I wonder how he compares to Rex? Guess you will just have to subscribe and stay tuned to find out.
Review: 7/10
The Bad Batch is a great story that also serves as the perfect bookend for the Clone Wars era of Star Wars. It is a perfect linking point that shows the weird transition between the Republic and the Empire. If you were a clone, not much changed except for how you waged war. Waging war was still all these clones were meant to do. Watching a group escape Order 66 and dealing with the aftermath is a fun idea that was executed perfectly. Seeing a badass group of clones turn into a loving family might not sound like the most exciting thing. However, the character arcs and twists that the series takes keep you engaged and make you really care about the characters. Fun action, a great premise, and a decent ending make for an enjoyable series.
Recommendation: Execute Order Watch The Series!
I think any Star Wars fan would enjoy it, especially if you grew up watching the Clone Wars show. Even if you didn’t, you can still enjoy the character drama of the series. I would recommend this to anyone. A solid show.
Thanks for tuning into the feed this week! Do not forget to share with a friend if you enjoyed it, and don’t be afraid of that like button! We are super close to hitting 100 subs! Once we do, I have a surprise Feats N’ Faults that will drop. It is a crazy one. Let me know in the comments if there are any IPs that you’d like to see covered here and how you ranked the Bad Batch. I will see you next Thursday for more Feats N’ Faults.
. Until Next Time!
I think the Bad Batch and Rebels share a lot of the same DNA in the show. And they're both better than they really have any business being.
I really enjoyed The Bad Batch. I honestly thought the final season was the best out of the three and really hope we get a live action version of at least Hunter and Omega at some point. Get Temura Morrison on the phone.
